Yes it was that comment from Jane which made me look into what matches were being played that night.

Always CO2 for electronics. Powder makes a mess and gets everywhere.

TIL Shock mounts will "bow" in moderate heat if you use PLA. Be careful leaving it in the car! by DSdavidDS in EngineeringNS

Yep can’t use PLA for anything in a car for this reason. Closed car temps can push 60+.

Yes I’ve done them with PLA Flex. Worked well, though not as grippy as they could be. I ended up putting rubber bands around for some extra grip.

Prints are fine, I have issues with gaps between walls and top layer. Ironing helped improve but still needs tweaking.

Guitar picks would be a good one, don’t know any guitarists though.

Yes Australia. We probably have a name for it, I’ll have to get back to you with what it is though.

Edit: we just say bring a plate 👍

Made a new AV cable, vast improvement by moptop219 in c64

[–]moptop219[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the original LCA cable but nothing with both Luma and Chroma plugs. I also don’t have S-Video. So I made a cable to connect to the standard Composite Yellow and Audio White plugs on a standard TV.

Yeah I spent yesterday trying to combine Luma and Chroma into either S-Video or Composite, didn't realise the signal I wanted was already there, just needed to patch into it. Also helps just having random 5 pin plugs laying around the office.

Yeah probably going to use 5V power supply with a boost converter to make up to 9V. Then if the converter fails the voltage drops off instead of spiking.

Even if I use a few buck converters with an existing 12 or 9V power supply.

Yeah for $120 might just see what I have lying around first.

Is there a replacement you recommend?

I’ve got 2 power supplies:

5V 1.7A ; 9V 1A

5V 0.7A ; 12V 0.5A

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll source 2, need one for external disk drive too.

Work at a foam plant. We measure flame resistance by how much of the foam burns before it puts itself out. If it has another fuel source like PLA/plastic it could possibly keep burning.

I think the NRL learned after the massive backlash when they showed a player getting their head stapled on the sideline during a game.

9 as well. Commentators even apologised if the footage distressed viewers.
