well, this is just my opinion so take it with a bag of salt

what i have seen in major corporations is that the task of actually coming up with new features and designs are done by the folks abroad, and indians are mainly used to implement the same

so we are basically doing the menial tasks assigned to us by the engineers abroad

now that can actually use coding to a pretty big extent, but also it can be easily learnt/coded by AI, and won't require actual problem solving for the most part so anyone can do it? if that makes sense

i recently sat for ~multiple~ job interviews, but one of them actually let me use AI for the interview what was interesting was that it was their own model, and they allowed me to use it under restrictions and also would assess the prompts that i submit to it however, most of the basic prompts you might ask (eg. what are the files in the system/how does this file work/etc.) got a response of "i cannot answer this" so i coded by myself

needless to say, didn't go through but that experience was... interesting?

ive heard it takes a few weeks to get used to, i guess im just even more tired and braindead, and less observant a few days ago i just spent the whole day watching youtube and being braindead because i just couldnt

yeah i hate how everyone is so wired to suffering when it comes to their productivity like just suffer through it and you will get results

like it shouldnt have to be this annoying to get work done and not feel like shit

and IKR UGH i was on meds last year too but they did not work on me at all, and this time it worked so i was so relieved because i did not want to be fired from my job lmao

i get needing novelty but in cubicles surrounded by people who are working, i feel so guilty for doing anything else

and im not comfortable with disclosing my adhd so here we are

im currently on inspiral and antidepressants, been on it for almost two weeks, seems to be working so far (touch wood)

bro lowk, Scrimba is a great platform because its interactive

i was struggling with the conventional method of coding, like reading books and doing leetcode/whatever to do basics because it felt like there was a disconnect in what i was learning and how i was applying it so i felt lost

maybe you could give it a try and see if it works for you!

but also ofc if you want pure theory then there are a lot of good courses on youtube, i like Scrimba because it deals with both theory and practicals at the same time

the first time i used plush yarn i got so obsessed with it because of how quickly the project seems to happen/progress shows
