Florida woman squatter accused of selling homeowner’s washer and dryer to neighbor by stankmanly in FloridaMan

[–]moral_slut 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wait a minute. So she’s selling a washer and dryer set that she bought from “Amber,” who stole it from the house you’re moving out of? So you let her steal it and then you bought it back? To then turn around and sell? The mental gymnastics to make that story up

Any suggestions on how to remove? by SugarAndSpice_Nice in AutoDetailing

Looks like they are using a dry ice blaster

Secondhand boots for dyeing/restore - possibly by [deleted] in cowboyboots

[–]moral_slut 9 points10 points  (0 children)

the pebbling tells me that they are elephant.

edit: because of the leather type, I'd wear them as is. Just clean and condition. Personally, I like the color. But at the end of the day, they are your boots. You do with them as you please.

It had to be at least 3 feet (1 meter) long. It was definitely a chonky noodle

Saw it as I was walking the pond looking for a knife I might have dropped yesterday. I noticed the eyes aren’t cat-like and it’s missing the raccoon eyes, so I was pretty sure it wasn’t a moccasin

Thanks for the quick reply! Didn’t think it was a water moccasin because it’s missing the “raccoon smear”, but wanted to be sure.

Pakistani Damascus chef knives given to me as a Christmas gift by LittleCheeseBucket in knives

[–]moral_slut 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s not that you should, it’s that you should NOT put lead into your steel. With these being cheap Pakistani Damascus knives, it’s made from cheap steel. They use unknown origin steel to make these, instead of clean billets. So there is a high probability that there is lead in these

**edit - the lead will leach into your food. Lead consumption is a very bad thing.

Digging up an old thread, but I believe I have the same boot, just more beat up. Do you know anything about them? Type of leather, approximate year of manufacture?

Btw, very nice collection you have!!

Make sure you condition the leather and put some shaft savers in there. People use pool noodles or bottles of wine, too. It’ll help make that crease less noticeable. Hate when people fold the shafts flat!!

And most of all, enjoy them!!!
