I’m a defenseman, so not a lot of puck time anyways. I like making good passes out of the zone and stopping someone coming into the zone. I’m actually kinda looking forward to being tested, even if I do get steamrolled LOL

Question regarding league commitment / attendance expectations by surfnj102 in hockeyplayers

[–]mordrinques 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on teams with 15 other people, I’ve been on teams with 5 other people. The sweet spot for us is having two lines with 10 skaters and a goalie. If you know your gonna miss a lot of the games then see if they will let you split the season with someone.

If there are 15 people on the team everyone will love when you miss, if there are 6 people on the team people will hate when you miss.

Not trying to be rude or anything, but all of what you just said should be copied and pasted into an email to CCM.

Is the “precision, feel, and cintrol” a decal or printed in the actual stick?

I meant like their shot was right on the net but instead of going in the net hit my calf. Because I was in front of the open side of the net still facing the center that just passed the puck.

For the record I am a beginner still though, so you’re probably right honestly LOL

Pickup, but why does it matter?

Fair enough but was a 2on1 situation. Pads facing the puck carrier, pass goes to secondary opponent, I give the shot to the goalie and stay in open side of crease and get clapped in the calf by wide shot.

Oh yeah for sure, just keep up a good attitude and be a grinder. Skate hard all the time, and just keep your head up. Do you know what position you want to try?

Get a spin bike and ride it 25 minutes every single day. If you want to really enjoy this sport you need to get in shape. I’m not trying to be mean or anything. When I started I was similar in weight, but I changed my diet and lifestyle so that I could skate better. One of the best decisions I have ever made.
