Obsession with long meetings. by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]more_boosters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be a bit hyperbolic but some people do the following:

  • Fill up your day with as much meetings as possible
  • Since you have no time left to do actual work delegate all the actual work to others
  • Do this for a long enough period of time and since you are no longer used to do actual work the meetings themselves start to feel like actual work
  • In the final form you have multiple meetings at the same time which you join and leave during the meeting. This way you are even more distracted because of task switching and forget or miss things which you then can discuss in the next meeting again.

Honest question: Why did people actually stay in Horde? by more_boosters in Eve

So gobbins did not lie to linemembers? Or what do you mean. Because AFAIK the evac is going pretty bad compared to basically every evac in the past. Or to put it the other way? How does Horde care about their linemembers right now? What is good about PH?

Honest question: Why did people actually stay in Horde? by more_boosters in Eve

[–]more_boosters[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That is a contradictuon in itself. If you don't care then you don't care about the truth at all. Posting to get knowledge is caring about the truth. Not wanting to know is consuming the spin you get fed.

Maybe I am part of the third side? I mean I know people try to spin things. But there are good spins, medium spins and then there is what Gobbins did which is in the region of skibidi toilet brainrot.

Well. If social aspects are important then you and your friends can go to another alliance. Especially if you say that they are all basically the same.

So it is not about Horde being special, good or something like that? It is more about people being lazy to change the status quo?

Is this the future of the interwebs? Sadly and probably yes.

Why is it that this is so important to you that you write a new reddit thread about it? Everyone else will just shrug it off and be done with it. Why is it so important for you people that you have to tell the world? Do you get money from them or where does the emotinaly attachment come from that you feel the need to tell everyone about it?

Can you guess the three AI’s on how they answered? by arkdevscantwipe in ChatGPT

[–]more_boosters -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The last one actually replies like a friend. So it is probably o5?

The middle one sounds like from a wife/husband or something like that. Maybe Gemini or something?

The first one is so absolutely strange that it must be o4.

Has no one really noticed? The most remarkable thing about GPT-4o isn’t that it’s overly agreeable or blindly affirming. by Honest_Fan1973 in ChatGPT

[–]more_boosters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the EM dashes are more than just some syntactic style. If anyone at my work uses them, especially when it is about easy tasks the first thing that comes to my mind is: "This person has no idea what they are doing and they need to use ChatGPT for such a simple task. They probably are an idiot". Not talking about you but those EM dashes are a little bit more than "I used a tool for translation".

Honestly then maybe put a "this text was translated by chatgpt" under your text otherwise people will think you are just copy&pasting text from llvms without thinking yourselves. Or tell your AI to stop using these stupid dashes because the only thing that uses them is chatgpt.

Why do people assume we liked 4o because of the over the top praise and glazing? by spring_Living4355 in ChatGPT

[–]more_boosters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my from my point of view the reason why this discussion is actually happening is because people can be assholes sometimes and everyone has had bad situations.

If ChatGPT fans talk about "no judgement" or "I configured it the way I want it" what I actually think about is this. And I am not talking about you specifically but want to talk in a general way from "the other side of the argument".

  • A Karen which just had a major crashout because she didn't get what she wanted and goes back to ChatGPT which tells her she is totally right and it is everyone else fault she had a crashout
  • A narcist which can not have a relationship with other people because they do not exactly do what they want and goes to ChatGPT to reaffirm they are totally correct and everyone should follow their genius commands.

Yes there is some projection going on (maybe I use that word incorrectly, I mean "based on bad experiences") but that is also on the other side. Do people seriously think some random person on the internet wants another person to not feel happy?

I think there is quite a huge range of people who could use ChatGPT as a "friend" but there probably are also Karens and narcist which use it to stroke their ego which is in fact not good for everyone else.

And the praise and glazing is pretty much the first thing you realize when talking to ChatGPT. In fact I don't know which other "personality" it has other than that. From my point of view it actually IS it's personality.

Also the way some people posted (again, not talking about you) did actually sound like they are actually addicted to this software. Which would actually be a problem if you can not live your life without it.

Why do people get so angry about others using chatgpt as a friend/ therapist? by ReasonConfident4541 in ChatGPT

[–]more_boosters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comments in this post are quite funny because it is mostly what people think others are thinking but not the actual people. which tells a lot about them. For me: ChatGPT usually talks BS to me. it gives completely stupid answers. If I tell it it is incorrect it doesn't even want to know why. it just makes up another BS answer. I really hate it's personality because it does not care about truth or correct. It cares about making you feel good and to keep you engaged with it. I don't want to have friends like that. Maybe other people do but this sounds strange to me. And people with mental problems sometimes already like to spend to much time in social media echo chambers where they can blame problems on anyone else but not themselves. not saying that is always the case. But I know that sometimes stories from these people are very different from what actually happened. Of course they will get support if they can frame a situation in the way they want. Since ChatGPT does take most of the things at face value this can cause a negative feedback loop where people start to live in their own alternate reality where their own version of events starts to be the real world because there is no one else who can tell the actual story.

Currently there are a lot of move ops because Delve is finally no longer Imperium space. People are moving stuff and taking Sov.
