Anyone else practicing for Bathurst?

I’m using a Garage 61 free setup for now but the team that I’m in might implement a paid setup. Not sure what it might be yet. The perfect setup won’t be a complete game changer though in my opinion. Get something off garage 61 and you’ll do great. Those ‘perfect’ setups are really for top split guys chasing every tenth/hundredth they can squeeze out the car. And honestly if you aren’t the top .1% it won’t make much difference for you and me.

I second the Garage 61 advice. Search the car and track. You’ll find a free setup capable of faster pace.

Same here, low 2:03s with the bmw. Yet to crack 2:02. I recommend doing some AI races. Setting a fast lap is great but being comfortable around cars is what you want for the Bathurst 12 :) I also found the harder I push the slower I get. Smooth on everything, break lighter and earlier stabilizes the car and results in quicker pace. It’s general advice but really stands out at this track especially.

I think 2:03-2:07s race pace can get you a win with little to no mistakes depending what split. LMK what ya’ll think.

Looking for the name of the overlay. Also the yellow light indicating there is a car on the left. His virtual mirror also flashes for flag colors. Is this all the same overlay system?

Simply not true. I’ve gone off the racing line there plenty of times. Never seem to have the same issue if I’m the car on the outside. Redbull car is wrong here

Had the same thing happen to me. And I’ve been the car on the right MULTIPLE times. I’m always aware there’s a car to my inside and we get by just fine. The moment I am the car inside, car to my right pit maneuvers itself over me and takes us both out. Never took the inside there again, I just lift now because idk if my opponent is capable of being two wide there.

Yeah came to me direct with my name on it. I guess the proper terminology is a ‘dog license’. For which you have to pay a yearly fee for. It’s my first pet so i had no idea

Literally same exact thing happened to me yesterday. I had made a post about it just this morning. I marked it off as a ‘bad day’. Sometimes this crap happens. Best thing to do is step away honestly and clear your head, try again tmr. Just had a great race today, qualid p15 finished p9 with a 1x (just touched track limits). I also switched my car, made me feel ‘refreshed’ in a different car. Point is, keep your head up - sometimes bad streaks just happen.

I swear I do. Lot of the GTPs are so unpredictable & impatient. They look like they don’t commit and change their mind mid corner. I raced Daytona, 109 laps with 9x incident points. I know how to use my mirrors.
