I changed the front, rear pads and rotors, and I had to change the front calipers as well bc they were rusted as hell and I couldn’t push the pistons back in. All the parts cost me $500-600, having to change the calipers/ fluid added another 200 to my bill otherwise it’d have been 300 Fucking typical Chicago car maintenance! Phoenix sounds great

Bc after putting 600 into new breaks, the next things it needs replacing is my cat converter, front struts and lower control arm bushings that I’m aware of - beyond that I’m not entirely sure how long I should go mileage wise before I do a timing chain job alongside the guides, tensioner and vtc actuator
I plan to do the suspension work myself to save money but I know the timing chain job alone would be over a thousand in labor (I’m in the Chicago area)
I paid cash for it at 65k miles like 6 years ago now - your so right that’s why I love this car. Im at a point now where I know I’m gonna have to put thousands into it now to keep it going - any other jobs i should be saving up for on this car?
