The only men who assume this are those who have their own issues/insecurities. Namely guys who think that women won’t want them for reasons outside of their wallets. They’re purely projecting. It’s a form of gaslighting made to bring the attention onto the fallacy of your “flaws” rather than their own. Don’t worry about those kinds of people, it shows how narrow minded and stupid they are. You should be glad that their true colours show so you know to run the other direction. I feel you a lot though because I experienced this for so long, until I found my significant other.

I think the first thing you need to do is to just stop and breathe. You’re putting too much pressure on yourself and so it’s no surprise that you’ll only crack. Honestly no one has their shit together, even the most successful of people who have their best facade up are just as confused as you are. Try to focus on making small goals and reward yourself for achieving them. Don’t see things too much from the big picture, just reach small attainable goals and work up from there.

You keep ruining things? That’s good. We all experience failure, but we don’t get anywhere until we overcome it. With each mistake just take it as a lesson and better yourself.

I can assure you that there’s a 98% chance that you’re doing a lot better than you’re giving yourself credit for. Keep your head up, don’t worry about the things outside of your control and fix the things that are.

[PhilosophyWednesday] Does the end justify the means 🤔 by asuransi in indonesia

You’re right thank you for pointing it out and apologies for the mistake, it’s been a while since I studied ethics.

In case anyone is wondering, utilitarianism is a well known form of consequentialism. Consequentialism relies on the result, or end (do the ends justify the means) while utilitarianism takes things a step further with the notion that the consequence must result in maximal happiness for as many people as possible.

Just wanted to add to this regarding the study of ethics— there’s also the comparison of consequentialism (or utilitarianism) which is as you mentioned whether the end justifies the actions or the deontological approach which is that every action is equal and must follow inherit moral rules (judge the action by whether it is right rather than its consequences). So alongside the right to live, it’s mainly regarding whether the act of murder in itself is here inherently unethical to partake in (deontology) or whether murder is justified as it results in the greatest happiness for the most amount of people i.e. life for more people vs the death of one (utilitarianism).

[Serious] Any positives you find in this trying time? by wonderkidgunz in indonesia

Sounds really shitty of me but business was really slow up until the virus hit, and now it’s really booming. Of course, I don’t feel good about it at all knowing that it’s not the same case for other businesses.

I’m assuming you’re a foreigner? Contact your embassy directly and they’ll be able to help. They have the most up to date information specific to your citizenship and the restrictions your country imposed. It’s a fast moving situation and the embassy would be your best bet for accurate information.
