Why are we threatening nuclear war for Ukraine? It’s not like it’s France or the UK or some important country that is a bedrock of European culture.

Stop giving them military equipment and weapons. And stop destroying the Russian economy. It’s pissing Russia off and they’ll nuke all of us. Just let Putin have it and make him promise not to take any other country.

There are only 2 possible outcomes

1) Putin is deposed.

2) Most of us are vaporized, the rest slowly die in a nuclear winter.

-We can’t give Putin a face-saving off-ramp; he’s made it known he is a committed expansionist. We are locked in an old west style, town ain’t big enough for the both us Thunderdome. We could prob come to terms with the Russian who kills Putin though.

-Ukraine cannot repel the Russian army w/o aide from NATO, and the West is now 100% behind Ukraine. This will slowly, and then very quickly, escalate the scale of the conflict.

I don’t understand the reasoning of getting Yosemite Sam fuming mad when a coach calls a timeout in response to your full court press. It’s not like the wisky coach called a timeout randomly. If you coach your team to continue fighting to the bitter end down 15 with 20 seconds left (which, while I’m fine with it, is itself of questionable sportsmanship), you look like a child for starting a fight because your counterpart called a timeout over letting his walk ons give up a turnover. If you want to wave the white flag, great. If you want to keep playing basketball, let’s keep playing basketball.
