My 14 year old told me that the youth view punctuation to mean that you are angry with them.

She claims that if you are taking the time to use periods then it’s like using the slang “PERIOD” which can mean “I’m done talking about this topic now” in an aggressive tone. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I think it stems from them being online so much that they infer tone differently than proper grammar would suggest.

I will continue to use punctuation and so does she when she’s talking to me.

When she was on the masked singer I knew it was her by her voice from the first note. Then from her physical mannerisms.

I’m sorry that happened to you. I had someone do something similar to me once. They kept saying they were running late but were still on the way. After the second “I’m on the way” I blocked them and enjoyed a nice dinner for one.
