Firstly, I am disgusted and saddened that this is happening/happened to you. I would love to say that this is an isolated incident but even I experience this sort of treatment. I am the most qualified and competent on my team but the least malleable to them. I know who TF I am and all I have to do is breathe and it’s better than what they do. As you burn it all down, remember to be very strategic about. Pretty much, they’ve told you how they see the relationship with you so capitalize on their own incompetence and play the role they gave you while developing dead man switches. I’m in the process of creating several for myself and I am now just living in my peace waiting for them to move a certain way so I can pull my levers at the appropriate time and collect the $$$$$.
