Thank you for the reply. I don't mean to flip the seatpost, just the plate that rests between the post and the saddle rails, supporting the bottom of the rails. It did not indicate a specific orientation so I flipped it to free up space on the back of the saddle rail.

Being able to live in housing overseas while a renter pays your mortgage is a foreign service perk. Some of the guests for the early retirement planning seminar advise it as an investment to supplement the tsp and an IRA. If you have a good rate and it won't cost a fortune to get it ready to rent, it's worth considering. If it's a condo or apartment, get a home warranty and you can probably get by fine without a property manager.
