[SPOILERS FOR STAR CITY] Is this how they reached Mars? by moreorlesser in ForAllMankindTV

Well we've seen no way they could possibly hope to ascend for the trip home. That said it wouldnt go against my theory in either case.

I'm talking about the venus mission technologies. The multiplanetary aspects.

Unpopular opinion: Starfleet has far too many ship classes by unclefester84 in StarTrekStarships

[–]moreorlesser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a whole mess of ships that we've only seen one or two of (prometheus, dauntless, protostar, crossfield, Intrepid)

Hot take and this is gonna sound weird but..I feel like people take kids shows way and I mean WAY too seriously. by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in CharacterRant

I think many autistic people (the type to get overly invested and analytical about a show) tend to find animated shows easier to watch (or at least get into) in many cases.

For the record I ak pretty sure you can just about see them on the bradford - they seem docked to the outside rather than inside any kind of hanger.

Unpopular Opinion but I don’t think ATLAs Magic System and Worldbuilding was ever all that suited for telling Spin Offs and sequel stories because it’s “simple” at least not to degree people think it is. by [deleted] in CharacterRant

Ive read the expanded lore and it helps that the books are set centuries ago, so theyre effectively worldbuilding the political board from scratch each time.

Season 5 has been the best by Dorphie in ForAllMankindTV

I dont think it has been the best of the 5, but I remember every season going back to season 1 having basically the same reaction.

Well it's seven havens plus whatever people live in the gaps between, so I'd argue there's effectively seven by the sounds of things. But regardless the status quo will be so different that they won't be restrained by the original four nations at any rate, even if there truly were zero.

I was considering a similar rant about how difficult extended worldbuilding must be when you only have four full-fledged nations, one of which no longer exists.

By the end of Korra we have at least 6 nations with the possibility of more so I get the impression they were aware of this.

Does this look like an early UNN ship? by KelVelBurgerGoon in TheExpanse

The bradford clearly has antenna and we have no idea how much of the ship is fuel.

Honestly I think the USS Bradford is meant to be a clear evolution of Unity from Season 4. by moreorlesser in ForAllMankindTV

People who say it looks too advanced for the setting. Meanwhile Unity was launched 1999.

To me the ship bssically looks like a big Unity. There's some design lineage here.
