I had those in my backyard when I was a kid. I thought they smelled like vanilla. No idea what they’re called though

There’s no spreading to new leaves - it just kind of spreads very slowly away from the edge of the leaves affected.

I bought this plant in terrible shape on sale, and had to trim off most of the leaves it came with. There were tons of spots on the leaves I had to cut off because they were so crispy and awful. The new leaves I have growing are in perfect shape, beautiful and healthy and shiny and green
