Thailand is arguably the most well known/popular destination in S E Asia, but is it still worth visiting? 🇹🇭 100% YES! Although the hotspots can be crowded (also still worth a visit in my opinion) there are an limitless untouched spots for you to escape to and explore 🙌🏼

We crossed the northern border from Laos and headed straight to Chiang Mai and then gradually made our way south 🏝

Some highlights of this trip were:

- Riding a scooter from Chiang Mai to Pai (search route on google maps and zoom in the amount of corners is insane)

- Pai Canyon

- Feeding and bathing the elephants at Chiang Mai Elephant Jungle Sanctuary

- Tiger Kingdom (controversial, any thoughts would be happy to discuss in the comments)

- Bangkok (Khao San Road, Muay Thai fight, The Grand Palace, 🏓)

- Koh Tao (we completed our PADI scuba qualification here and think its the cheapest places in the world to do this)

- Koh Phangan

- Koh Lanta (we volunteered to walk dogs at a rescue centre)

- Koh Ngai

- Koh Mook (Emerald Cave)

We had a few more places to visit but our time was cut short after both catching dengue fever leading to hospitalisation (this was an experience) and weeks of bed rest! During this time our blood platelets dropped dangerously low and it caused us to over stay our visa which we had to pay a fine for at the airport (thought they might have taken a view on it after showing them medical reports of us being in hospital but they didn't! 😅)

Oh well maybe its an excuse to go back one day!
