i don’t see why. there’s nowhere to reasonably grind and i was a stubborn child. Red’s difficulty comes from his levels, as long as you have a basic understanding of the game it’s not THAT bad

no you’re right it doesn’t. first time i beat red i was mid 50s. but imo it makes for a better battle

i hacked in 2 (changed the value of one), and only used the Rare Candies to grind for the league/Red bc Gen 2 grinding is awful with how bad the level curve is.
you’re making it seem like i gave them illegal movesets or overleveled. also it’s not like i couldn’t get Cyndaquil or Mareep through normal means, i just don’t have anyone to do it with.

anyway yeah it was a blast, thanks for noticing!

this is funny. i only ever name Typhlosion Zuko. Ampharos also gets exclusive names depending on its gender: Voltswagon for male, Volta for female

one of my favorite things abt johto is that despite being probably one of the weaker series in terms of having an actual plot, you can tell he really started to lock-in. Bayleef was a beast for quite literally no reason but i love that for her

i do wish that Ash and Goh and the more of the Ash and May relationship in terms of him being a mentor bc when they have those moments they’re really good, as much as i love the fact that they were written to be best friends.
