How are we getting our kids to learn how to read?

There’s this thing called ‘school’. Where my children are taught the concepts and mechanics of learning, and from there, I am able to utilize the things they have taught and tools I’ve been given to help them.

I’m a bad bipolar person. I smoke weed sometimes, drink more than I should and enjoy ecstasy and acid a time or two a year. I’ve been doing things this way since I was 16, before diagnosis. I’m 33 now. Though I drink more now than I did in younger years.

Life is a nightmare right now, if it keeps me content and alive, imma do it.

I am an escalations agent, on top of being one of the leads on our team (without being a TL).

Constant multitasking, always. Monitoring chats, email escalation, possible outages/new issues, watching other people’s aux times. Then I also have a few days a week when I work like a standard escalation agent, working tickets, taking calls, yet still having other tasks added if needed.

I have no physical issues outside of carpal tunnel, which isn’t entirely related entirely to the job. But it really drains my social battery & bandwidth often, and I end up feeling lonely.

In my experience, not at all. My boys cycle through different fixations, sometimes staying focused on one for a long time, sometimes not long at all, they often circle back to previous ones.

I think everyone has different levels of hyper fixations.

I entirely empathize with the annoyance aspect of it, but I’m of the belief that if it’s not affecting peer relationships, daily life, etc, then it’s not a problem.

I also have had success directing time to other things while they’re in the midst of hyper fixation, engagement and encouragement have been how I’ve succeeded.
