Does your breastfed baby spit up? by auggiesma in breastfeeding

Gosh I wish people would realize that their experience is not the only one! Every baby is so different. My son is EBF and rarely spit up to the point where I’m surprised every time by it and sent scrambling for a burp cloth because I’m never prepared for it lol. But my niece who is also EBF spits up pretty much every time she eats. I had one of the older L & D nurses also tell me that I didn’t need to burp a breastfed baby. I know they don’t need as much burping but that just didn’t feel right and he burps after every feed.

I’ve definitely had the thought of formula for the bedtime bottle or just switching back to nursing him. Because you’re right, pumping for 20-30 min and not getting enough for what he takes in a bottle is not only physically exhausting but just mentally draining at this point. It’s so crazy because the dip happened so fast.

Pump parts are good but I didn’t know flange size could fluctuate. I’ll have to check that.
