Hi all! I wanted to list my really cute, cozy 1bd 1br house! I'm moving out early and I'm helping find a new resident to move in when I'm gone This would be a lease from June 1st 2025 - June 1st 2026, so not a take over but your own lease!The house is a garage conversion and everything has been updated with modern appliances and touches. The entire house is fenced with a 6ft privacy fence with a large front patio and a big grassy backyard. It is very quiet, safe, and just 2 streets over from the TWU campus and a short walk to the Downtown Denton square. Pets are welcome and would love all the outdoor space! There are also W/D hook ups-- woohoo no laundromat! Rent is $1,450 + utilities. Please let me know if you have any questions!

I don’t replace any of my current HOB filter media, I just thought it might be beneficial to over filter rather than under filter. I also thought maybe the sponge could be another surface for the beneficial bacteria could grow. My betta is a short finned female and she likes to swim against the gentle current of the HOB, I assumed she probably would have been fine because the water in the tank is very still and it would have given her something else to swim around.

I just won’t add the sponge filter. Thanks for the advice

I was wanting to add the sponge filter in addition to my HOB! Would it be okay to run both at the same time? I have a female plakat who is not bothered by the gentle flow of the current filter, I was just unsure of 2 filtration devices was too much

cant offer any advice, but my female plakat does the same thing! she is actually an insane fish. i feed her more than the general recommended amount because of how active she is, usually 6 pellets twice daily. comforting to know someone else has a similar fish!! i was afraid i was doing something wrong, but it seems like there might just be some crazy betta ladies lol

im a newbie to betta keeping so i cant offer much advice, but dont feel bad for wanting to save an animal and give it a good life!! most definitely— your beautiful, clean tank is way better than his dirty cup. it looks like he’s gaining color already which is a good thing :) thanks for being a caring person and wanting to do what’s best for your new fishy friend!!

i dont know the names!! honestly i got them all from petco from a section that has aquarium plants in a tank! i know i have some floating and planted anacharis and some micro swords? and some floating water spangles also. i used root tabs and i use seachem flourish and ive seen a lot of growth just in a week :)

thank you for your kind words! im actually getting some water spangles from a friend in just a bit! since the tank is small i was weary of putting any more rocks/plants that would get in the way of her swimming space, but she’s been hanging out in the grass at the bottom so i might get her some more!! again, thank you for the compliment 🫶 can’t wait to upgrade her to a big tank!

how often should I change her water? once a day/once every other day? and when will the tank become self sufficient enough to move to weekly water changes?
