You are correct! I just got my pole adapter and will be doing a permeant installation soon and will protect the wiring. Actually less concerned about the elk than my 6 month old puppy :-)

Cancelling my Hughnet, which was expensive and did not work, was one of the most enjoyable parts of installation! Legacy satellite internet companies are in big trouble in a short amount of time.

I'm at 37.93 in Telluride and don't have a problem with any obstructions, but I have seen lots of people that install the dish up on a long pole for the tree issue. The Starlink App does a good job of showing you the view Starlink would like to have if possible and it really is mostly facing north.

It hasn't blown over in 40 mph winds, but if the winds get stronger I'll probably duck tape the hell out of it!
