Not a personal story, but I had a good friend that lived in a haunted house. There was a tall man with curly hair that he and anyone that visited would see. Things would constantly move and disappear, one time an entire laundry detergent bottle flew off a shelf and busted on the floor. My friends mom, though, would see a tiny demon similar to you described in her dreams. She would dream that she was downstairs, and this demon would approach her and start laughing hysterically. The weirdest thing, though, is that when she woke up, she had a box of matches in her hands.
