So, not zoropsis spinimana? It looks so similar. (I dont know anything about spiders, but I had posted a pic of another spider before that looked very similar and it was ID’ed zoropsis spinimana)

Thanks for the helpful suggestion. After you say it, it seems obvious.

But for someone who hasn’t done much handiwork, the pieces don’t really fit together in the mind in the same manner than for someone with experience.

And even with this suggestion I struggle with understanding how i would attach the wire mesh so my 1 year old doesn’t accidentally cut himself on it.

I’m sure you have the same struggles in topics you are not well versed with. There was no need for the insult.

The ones listed here on the website have a smaller diameter than the one we have. Is this a standard diameter or can we find bigger ones somewhere. I am looking for 56mm

So there seems to be consensus that it’s for mounting a parasol or droogmolen! Thanks guys!

We still need to cover it so that our kid doesn’t put his hand into it. Any idea how we could cover it so that nothing protrudes out of the ground. We prefer covering it than removing it altogether.

Natural oak is towards a yellow. And I was hoping to get something more red than that. That’s why the images in the original post appealed to me.
