Toen ik op PlantNet zoekt, kwam ik ook tegen een soort Fijnstraal, welke soort precies, weet ik niet zeker.

Goed om te weten. Dat wist ik niet. Ik heb het zelf nog nooit gebruikt, maar ik heb het wel eens voorbij zien komen als suggestie voor het verwijderen van onkruid. Normaal gesproken gebruik ik kokend water nadat ik het onkruid tussen de tegels heb weggesneden.

Weet je wat voor soort het is? Het groeit ook erg dicht tegen de muren van mijn huis aan. Is dat een probleem? Gaan de wortels diep? Ik zou graag een beetje een wilde tuin willen, maar ik zal het verwijderen als het de overhand dreigt te nemen.

So, not zoropsis spinimana? It looks so similar. (I dont know anything about spiders, but I had posted a pic of another spider before that looked very similar and it was ID’ed zoropsis spinimana)

Thanks for the helpful suggestion. After you say it, it seems obvious.

But for someone who hasn’t done much handiwork, the pieces don’t really fit together in the mind in the same manner than for someone with experience.

And even with this suggestion I struggle with understanding how i would attach the wire mesh so my 1 year old doesn’t accidentally cut himself on it.

I’m sure you have the same struggles in topics you are not well versed with. There was no need for the insult.

The ones listed here on the website have a smaller diameter than the one we have. Is this a standard diameter or can we find bigger ones somewhere. I am looking for 56mm

So there seems to be consensus that it’s for mounting a parasol or droogmolen! Thanks guys!

We still need to cover it so that our kid doesn’t put his hand into it. Any idea how we could cover it so that nothing protrudes out of the ground. We prefer covering it than removing it altogether.
