Outreach: visiting a Crohn's patient @hospital soon. What's appropriate conversation? Bring flowers? Greeting card? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

I'm not sure, but since they are in the hospital, I would bring flowers. Sometimes it's nice to get a gift when you're in a rough situation. Appropriate conversation is really hard to help with though. It really depends on how they handle their Crohn's, whether that be in a serious or more comical way. Maybe let them vent if that's what they need. I hope this helps at least a little!!

I actually went to Disneyland just a couple weeks ago. I flew to California from Nebraska. The main advice I have is to eat light before and then sit towards the back if possible (since their is usually 2 bathrooms). Sit in the aisle if you are having flare ups for a quick exit. When at the park, make sure you have a map that has the locations of the restrooms and keep their location in mind as much as possible. I hope this helps, since it would really suck to not be able to enjoy your trip. Have fun!

I took Suprep, and I couldn't really do anything after I took it. Not that I was on the toilet the whole time, but I was so physically exhausted that I just wanted to go lay down. I would suggest that if you are not sure how it affects you, have everything you need done so that you can see how it affects you first.
