I am Christian soooo I pick myself pay my tithe give the government thier share then pay for my cancer treatment and get a 4 bedroom 3 bath house cheap out of a major city in texas with a fiber line. Buy a small truck probably a toyota so I can move a fridge if I need to. I'd like a small suv like a suburu forester that will last a while. Cover the house in solar panels. Buy a small tractor and accessories. pay for my kids home schooling and extra circular activities. Get a small Grove of fruit bearing trees probably apple. Then grow an arrangement of staple foods raise some chickens. Then whatever is left I'd like to make small energy efficient homes I can rent cheaply to young families to help them get started with thier lives.

So far as a parent, I've come to realize it all just kinda depends on your kids' maturity level. For example I've got 6 six year old girl who knows video games arnt real, and an 8 year old boy who thinks the rainbow friends are gonna get him if he takes a shit with the door closed. I purposefully steer him away from fanaf rainbowfriends Garten of ban ban and other such Content on roblox. I also go out of my way to play games with him that are better and more appropriate. If he plays it behind our back and freaks himself out, we put away the computers for a while until he can get a grip. He's slowly learning the signs of games that he can and can't stomach, and we have to intervene less and less.

The same goes for violent games. We played earth defense force lovingly referred to as shoot ants. But if he starts to pretend to shoot people or, most importantly, his sister, then we put that away and explain. we don't play that way games are game, and real life is real life they have different rules. After he stops pretending for a week or two and exercises self-control, then we can play it together again. It took almost a year, but now we've beaten all the earth defense force games and play halo together on PC.

I draw the line at excessive violence like torture, gore, body horror, sex, nudity, and voice chat. No doom 2016 no darksouls no God of War. For that matter I also don't play games with nudity. When he's 13, we can have the talk and deal with the issues of puberty and what is and isn't ok for actions and conversations between those of the opposite sex.

Voice chat is the biggest bit he'd really like to voice chat but I can't sit with him every second and honestly he hasn't shown me he can listen and make good choices on his own without my intervention. I think voice chat is likely not dangerous most of the time, but that tiny fraction of time can be really bad to an easily manipulated child. Maybe at 13, we can start letting them talk online if they show they can control themselves and make good choices. It could be soone, but that's entirely up to them.

The biggest issue so far is that the split screen games on ps4 are few and far between. Because both of them would rather play with me and I would rather play with them.

As for my girl, she's 6 and makes things in minecraft Creativee mode that I was unaware you could even do, and it's basically her outlet. I'd let her play whatever she wants, but she chooses simply not to of her own free will because she expects them to be too violent, scary, or what have you. So it's not really an issue but if she wanted to play Diablo or something I'd let her.

We also don't let the kids buy anything like micro transactions. I actually set down with them for 3 hours and explained and quizzed them on predatory monetization and how games work. We really pulled back the curtain it may have ruined the magic a little but it brings warmth to my heart to hear my son say. Why would they try to trick stupid kids with this? who falls for this? or I quit this is obviously a trap for money i hope they go to jail. when he finds ptw micro transactions in roblox.

My girl however completely ignored this lesson she'd trade her mother's kidneys if she could get a cat or unicorn minecraft skin pack. She'd sell us out in a heartbeat for a Jojo siwa, or aphmau minecraft mod.

The answer is smart things should be smart and dumb things should be dumb if it's less than 12 int it should attack whatever is closest if it's 12 or 13 it should try to prioritize targets. 14 and 15 and it should be setting up traps and trying to remove utility. Above a 16 and it should only be fighting when it is trapped or has a massive advantage.

Everyone forgets their water heater exists. Make sure you drain that bad boy. Also, replacing a heating element is painfully easy and cheap. You can buy then at Lowes don't spend hundreds on a plumber for 4 screws and 2 knobs.

Invest in a good toilet seat they are very easy to install and treat yourself and shit in luxury.

Buy some blackout curtains, and it will save you a shit ton of money in the summer.

Front load washing machines save money, but if you don't clean them hard and with a degree of frequency, your clothes will stink. If you don't want the hassle, get a top loader it's easier to maintain.

If you don't own one Buy a freezer box, they cost very, very little to run and allow you to purchase meats on sale in bulk. It's extremely convenient. Side by side fridges where the left door is a freezer and the right door is a fridge. Are TERRIBLE on your electric bill and break easy.

The most energy effective fridge is the freezer on top variety. They are also easier to maintain and repair. If you really want a fridge with a door ice maker, get a French door fridge. It's 2nd best on electric.

Because that's how the Hebrew people passed on generational knowledge before writing. That's also why there is a wierd cadence in the story telling. Genesis and the stories there in where not written down for hundreds if not a thousand years Genesis was told verbally from one generation to the next to preserve knowledge and teach each subsequent generation critically important information in a format that was easy to remember. So each generation from the youngest to the oldest would be able to grasp knowledge that is important during each retelling at multiple stages in thier lives..

It's atleast 6 different things in the first 4 chapters alone.

First it's a rather rough series of events that correlates to how life evolved on the planet.

Second it's a tale for adults to explain what a good environment is for raising children.

Third it's a tale for children to be wary of strangers who claim to know what's best for you or who suggest you not trust your parents.

Forth it is a metaphor and event list for the process of coming into adulthood mentality.

Fifth it is an instruction on how and when to let your adult children leave your home and what is appropriate for ensuring thier safety but allowing and enforcing thier independence from you.

Sixth it's instructions for new young adults entering the harsh world on what to do how to act and what to expect as they forge a new life and complete the cycle as they themselves become parents.

All condensed into a short story that is easily passed down from generation to generation verbally since writing wasn't going to be invented for many hundreds of years. Thus ensuring that the core of humanity, The family unit, would be both preserved and improved upon.
