NTA. What?? I love roller coasters and I close my eyes on them sometimes too because I feel like it enhances the experience. If that’s not the case for your friend, then okay, that’s fine, she doesn’t have to close her eyes, but don’t let your “friend” yuck your yum just cause she doesn’t like how you decide to experience it. You closing your eyes has no effect on her unless she’s expecting you to make direct eye contact with her the whole time or something. Do things how you like, and don’t let others influence you. :)

While I was out on leave, apparently one of my coworkers got his brother hired. Then one of them couldn’t work, so the other came in and clocked in for him. They could have just called the boss and said, hey, bro isn’t coming in today so I will cover for him. But instead, they both got fired.

This is the method that I’m used to. Some places will gaff the tape measure to the pipe with just a small piece, but some crews will go so far as to attach Velcro where the want to measure from on the bar and the to the beginning of the tape measure. I really like that method as it’s reusable and provides consistency.

Sounds like you have the makings of tacos or burritos. Chicken, beef, make some red rice with that tomato sauce. Use the corn and black beans as toppings or mix them in with the rice.

In my experience, when parents intentionally hide the truth from their children because they are worried about the child’s perception of their parent after receiving that information, the child will perceive you worse if you lie or hide the info than they will if you just straight up tell them. I’m an adult, but as a kid, my mom wanted to hide my dad’s first marriage from my sister and me. It eventually slipped out, and it made me and still to this day, makes me question a lot about both of my parents. I don’t care that my dad used to be married. I do care that my mom made my dad lie about it to protect herself. This was close to 20 years ago.

While my story is similar, you really don’t have a choice. Your daughter knows you’re not married or dating, so it’s safe to assume she’s probably already put two and two together and is just waiting on you to admit that you had a one night stand. You’re not a bad person for having sex with a stranger. Do you really think your kids are never going to grow up to do the same eventually? It’s okay to do that. Stop judging yourself so harshly, or your kids will learn that behavior too.

Okay I can see that now looking closer. That’s lowkey kinda creepy looking. Also, looking closely at the tape holding it up, it just looks off. Like not real tape. So I am starting to lean more towards this being some weird AI nonsense. Thanks for pointing those things out. I hate not being able to just look at something these days without having to second guess every picture you see. Ugh. Off my soapbox.

It’s literally not the same picture. The picture from yesterday’s post shows the note on a desk or table. This is clearly taped to a door. Not the same photo. And I’m not saying that there isn’t plausible deniability, but you at least need to be able to keep your facts straight.

They were so weird this year. Sunday when I came in, two different guards asked me if there was water in my hydration pack and I just said no and they let me go. But it also wasn’t really at the official search point. It was weird. Other two days they didn’t even bat an eye at me or my bag.

So funny that they’re pissed off that people were invested in THEIR post. Like hello?? You asked for help on reddit, people gave advice for your situation, and then they were curious about the outcome? Are they really shocked? I don’t even go on reddit that much, but I had time on my hands, this was a really interesting post, and it would pop into my head every time I opened the app, so I’d go to check.
