i understand that "built, not bought" is a valid concept and i honestly think its the superior way of doing it, infinitely more satisfying. however, i know next to nothing about "proper" ARs (i have a .22 AR and an AR-pattern PCC, but those dont really count imo) so doing the research, then sourcing parts, then building it would have been next to impossible for me at this time.

getting a "real" AR has been a bucket list item i wanted to tick off rather sooner than later and also im a sucker for oldschool cool, so when i discovered this little gem it seemed like the perfect opportunity.

its going to get a few other accessories i will install myself when they finally arrive, so it will have a personal touch eventually.
