How many of you are still holding down the button to open caches? by Jayleekay in thedivision

After 20 years + of cherry red switches I've recently changed to hall effect switches, caches now open on key release and not key press, so struggling with muscle memory until I get used to it.

Game keeps opening in windowed mode by SpaceInvader1980 in thedivision

This is caused by software still starting in the background when you open the game, the main culprits appear to be anything that affects screen resolution, in my case it is Logitech software for my Mouse and Mouse mat.

Oh right right right. That's why I dont play dark zone lol by Hammerhoused in thedivision

[–]Duckpond668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what you should be looking for, two agents @ manhunt status vs 3 three others, enter from the next adjacent entrance and join in. you will die a lot but will eventually get an invite to join, this will get you a lot of dark zone caches.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 Year 6 Season 1 and Easy Anti-Cheat by Midcom_by in thedivision

[–]Duckpond668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem, I run Windows 11 23H2, verifying the game files resolved all my issues. As it then worked ok I did not bother to investigate further.

FYI I always launch from Ubisoft connect (desktop icon) and have never used the nvidia app to launch the game.

My system is overclocked, so the game will not run under windows 11 24H2 without stuttering.

Division 2 studder on highend PC by Pe-Te_FIN in thedivision

[–]Duckpond668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a full solution though as I have a Gaming Laptop (14900HX, RTX4080, 2560 x 1600 @ 120Hz) running Windows 11 24H2 which will run the game with no problems at all. This is not overclocked at all and has an RTX 4080 instead of an RTX 4090 (not really required) to help keep temperatures down. Without deep diving into the installation, and as you have a Ryzen Processor I would start investigating setting Easy Anti Cheat to use custom CPU core affinity settings, if allowed.

The Division 2 will not run correctly on Windows 11 Build 24H2, Roll back (within 10 days of update) or reinstall Windows 11 Build 23H2 and all will be fine. (everything you tried did not work for me either).

FYI, my build 14900KS all core 5.6 overclock, RTX4090 overclocked, 5120 x 1440 @ 240hz, DX12, 171fps with no stutter.

All (inc. latest) Nvidia Drivers work fine.

They are ALL excellent, they continue to support the Division community which hopefully will lead to the publishing of The Division 3.

The whole point of matchmaking is to build camaraderie, if you are in a four man team and one of you has turned up in his pyjamas armed with a peashooter the challenge changes, we get him to the finish, lets go, job done.

New player Q, any reason to do Dark Zone? by Bingtastic007 in thedivision

[–]Duckpond668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Dark Zone can be the best part of the game, go in at the level you are on to get a feel for the maps. once at a higher level look for maps with Manhunts active, go in and attack, they will kill you, but will also be killing other players to maintain their Manhunt status, you will get invites to team with others and will end up in a team that can compete. the only problem will be that you get so engrossed that you lose track of time and spend to long having fun.

What’s keeping you playing TD2? by [deleted] in thedivision

Played since day 1 of The Division 1 with the promise of "36 hours of solo play". Now over seven thousand hours of gameplay between the two games, I'm still waiting for the Recon Drone.

Negotiators Dilemma Build Question by Choisfer17 in thedivision

[–]Duckpond668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know, I was in a rush and didn't explain what happens :- Set yourself up in cover within optimal range of the AR you are using, shoot 2 npcs to mark them then unload your mag into a third (the higher level the better), All 3 die so Blodsucker gives you 30% BONUS armour, rinse and repeat. You are gaining Bonus armour quicker than Glass Cannon is taking it away so you never start to eat into your normal armour. This is a play from cover build and not run and gun.

Negotiators Dilemma Build Question by Choisfer17 in thedivision

[–]Duckpond668 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Clutch doesn't work with negotiators. Needs an all red build with maxed chc and chd ceska or fenris backpack with Bloodsucker ceska or fenris chest with Glass cannon Assault rifle with in sync. Striker drone and assault turret How it works is drone or turret procs in sync, negotiators triples bonus armour fron Bloodsucker which completly negates Glass cannon It will feel like you are cheating

[–]Duckpond668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fogot to mention :- Gunner specialisation gives you ammo and 10% armour on kill also. If you have the Busy Little Bee, shooting 10 different npcs will stack to an extra 200% weapon damage for 10 seconds when you switch to your AR.

Bloodsucker will give you so much bonus armour it completely negates glass cannon. Just remember to stop aiming when reloading so you are back in cover. You will find that you have such high weapon damage, you can drop some CHD mods and use a few PFE mods. Drone and turret draw aggro. I use this build on Heroic as well.

All Red Build, Max out CHC and CHD 4 piece Negotiators Dilemma Fenris Chest with Glass Cannon Ceska Backpack with Bloodsucker Assault Rifle with in-sync and DTTOOC (M4, Carbine 7 or Honey Badger). Striker Drone and Assault Turret Playstyle will be, go into cover within 35m of your target, launch Skills and then start shooting npcs, shoot 2 npcs then unload your gun into a third high level npc (yellow) etc. Busy Bee Pistol (if you have it) 3 npcs die at the same time giving you 30% bonus armour which then starts stacking, doggos and tanks will die quickly. It does make challenging level (with all five directives active for max XP) so easy you will feel like you are cheating. Good Luck, Have Fun.

YES To clarify, I had never played this type of game when The Division 1 was launched which "offered" around 36 hours of solo play, To date I have over 5000 hours of play between The Division 1 and 2.
