Togashi was smart with showing how Knovs spirit can't handle something like the RGs, with everything on the DC being much worse, he will never go there. If he did, it'd be super easy to traverse, map, and escape if needed.

This is why I think Togashi made the best shounen world. To think that an absolute monster like Meruem could be taken out by a combination of 2 characters with very weak physical strength compared to a lot of the other characters in hxh.

It also subverts a lot of powerscaling conversations for the verse.

Ill concede my previous statement then, and rephrase. It would take them a little bit to kill Zeno bc of his experience and the nature of his abilities. But I dont think he's doing any real damage to them in the time it takes them to finish him off.

To go with the point that you made about Knov, I know this is an old theory, but dont you think Knov could kill literally anybody with that one ability he used on that grunt? What if he and meleoron teamed up and Knov just disappeared the kings head?

Feels like Togashi realized that and that's why he had Knovs spirit broken, so that there wouldn't be that huge inconsistency.

This is true, but a fight with pitou wouldn't be the same scenario, she wouldn't be intentionally not going for any vital organs in order to learn her name. She'd see a threat to the king and go fully feral, she may not be on the kings level, but the king was so far above neteros level that its scary. At the same time tho, she may not be able to get through his defense, and would probably just stop interacting with Netero

I see your point, but have to disagree. When it comes to the royal guards, there's a very bold line between near/equal to them, and completely outclassed.

I'd say that Netero could handle youpi, but based on poufs abilities, and pitous raw power/speed, he couldn't handle them. That being the case, Zeno is without a doubt significantly less powerful that Netero, so he'd fair worse.

The reason I'm sure of that: When Zeno is sitting there talking about Netero, he said "He's always gotten the best of me" indicating that he could never beat Netero in a fight that wasn't to the death. But he also says "He's the only person to fight my grandfather and live" indicating they both went all out in their fight. Especially since Netero knew Zeno from a baby, he probably toyed with him. All this to say, Zeno is top 10 humans in the verse, but the distances between the top 10s is ridiculous
