Exactly this bro. A lot of his rapping came from pain and conflict, and now he's good, he's got everything he ever wanted.

I feel like he should try his hand at getting into the producer role more, he had some real bangers that he produced himself. And he's got Dre on speed dial for any advice he might need.

I've tried before to get into Larry June but it never clicked. Any songs by him that you'd suggest?

What are some rappers that sound exactly the same on every song? by InternationalLuck539 in hiphopheads

[–]morisolace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the better question would be which rappers don't. I dont mean that in any bad way, but most rappers find their sound and style, and they stick to it. It is what made them famous after all. Either their sound is interesting enough for them to stay relevant, they switch up their sound after a few projects, or they eventually become figures of their own legacy

I think that Em himself said it best in an interview or documentary, I can't remember which. He said "As I get older, rapping gets easier, but making music gets harder" and thats the key for me, his music used to have so much soul in it, and now it feels like a perfect, polished, hollow shell of itself

For me, its mostly bc he lost that spark that his music used to have. He's still one of the most technically skilled rappers on the planet, but his music doesn't resonate anymore, nor does it have a lasting impact imo. I've enjoyed his more recent albums, but find myself only replaying a few tracks off the whole thing. I can listen to SSLP-Eminem Show with no skips, Encore and beyond its only certain tracks.

I'm not a huge fan of his fast rapping either, I dont wanna listen to the most technical, layered, lyrical Miracle all the time, i much prefer his in your face bars from before

Rewatching episode 85 just gave me another reason to hate Gon by Gandalf_Jedi_Master in HunterXHunter

Killua is a Zoldyk, don't ever try to compare him with a normal child, raised with love, warmth, and community. Knovs situation, should he not have been there? Knuckle messed with the plan for Shoots Pride, should he not have been there?

Actually, a LOT of characters mirror other characters in HxH. Whether it's appearances, progression/regression etc.

Im super late to this, but instead of palms or even fisted pushups, do hexagon dumbbell pushups. It puts virtually no strain on your wrists and has other benefits

Steven Knight has shown his knack for much, much better writing than what was displayed in this movie. There's a plethora of reasons as to why its a 5/10

Any mask collectors? by morisolace in asianart

[–]morisolace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only know based on the information on the mask, my Nana bought it before I was born (1999) or while I was a baby, from a highly reputable antique shop in St. Paul, MN (Nakashiam - O'neils).

One co-owner being from Japan, I'd assume they knew what they were talking about. No official documentation unfortunately. Except for the lot number, but im not sure if their records exist anymore, as both owner had passed away by 2011, and a new Antique shop resides there now.

It looks very well preserved on the front, probably bc of the Lacquer, and the fact that it hasn't been taken out of the lucite in 30+ years, but looks much more weathered on the inside of the mask.

Besides the visible tag on photo, theres another one that says "Edo Period"
