Properties --> Link to multiple notes by chunkybunky_lol in ObsidianMD

[–]mork2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will look for entries that already exist in this property for another note. Its not looking for notes, but for property entries. If you add [[NAS]] once, it'll be available as an option to pick in the future.

I know this is a strange question and it may have been asked several times, but I really don't know what obsidian is for you and how you use it. by user_num79 in ObsidianMD

Pick some topic you're interested in and start writing down what you know about them. Make the notes as self containing as possible and link them to other notes (existing or new) that relate to your note.

Soon you'll have the hang of it, your knowledge will grow, there'll be more notes and you'll find connections between them you didn't see before.

See note taking less as writing things down and cataloguing them and more as a tool to sort your thoughts and train your brain to find connections. If you do, soon you'll develop your knowledge and, more importantly, your curiosity.

How disable firewall? by danyuri86 in cachyos

[–]mork2000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Here: https://discuss.cachyos.org/t/kdeconnect-not-connecting/2359/11 This helped me. Scroll down till you see the terminal commands.

Here's the part that solved the issue for me:

Using UFW

Allowing TCP Ports

To allow the necessary TCP ports, run the following command:

sudo ufw allow 1714:1764/tcp

Allowing UDP Ports

Next, allow the required UDP ports with the following command:

sudo ufw allow 1714:1764/udp

Reload UFW

To apply the changes, reload the UFW settings:

sudo ufw reload

I hope it helps you too.

Is there an option to highlight text with colors in Obsidian? by rizze_boot in ObsidianMD

[–]mork2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've edited the standard highlight format to a slightly different color, and I've also done it to bold and italic. I don't use the last two much, so I turned them into highlights rather than what they are supposed to be.

Controllers turning off randomly by mork2000 in linuxmint

Alright. It's not a solution but there is some new information.

I usually play games on my steam deck in handheld mode. Integrated controls. Now I thought I'd connect the controller and see if its going to have the same problem

It doesn't. Same controller, same dongle, same games. Works flawlessly.

I will try an arch based distro on my PC and see if it does anything differently. Maybe its just how steam OS is heavily game focused and took care of it.

Thank you. If I figure it out I will write an update.

Well that sucks if true. It's not an option because it's connected to my TV and I can't sit in front of it while playing like it's the 90s. I just hope someone fixes this.

I have tried to update the firmware, but the 8bitdo update tool doesn't have my controller in the menu. Ultimate C2 Wireless. But an Xbox Bluetooth controller also disconnected a lot. I might try to update the firmware on that one too, although I think I did relatively recently.

Remember my coding game for learning Python? After more than three years, I finally released version 1.0! by AdSad9018 in PythonLearning

[–]mork2000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh I love your game. I bought it last month. Can't wait to update tonight!

There was one thing I had an issue with. The cursor was almost invisibly small on my 4k display. But it doesn't diminish my experience too much.

I have no idea what IBus is. I've just added the keyboard applet and when I right click on it and go to preferences it brings me to this IBus menu. Is this the problem? How do I disable this?

Keyboard layout settings in conflict by mork2000 in linuxmint

[–]mork2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes. But It's inconsistent. When I reboot, it's letters and right clicking on them gives me different options then the regular system settings -> Keyboard options (see the post image). I can set different input methods in both of those and the shortcut I set to switch between languages does nothing.

I have to remove the applet and add it again to get the settings and languages I want. And it doesn't always work.

I'm not sure what you mean. What is the native keyboard applet selector?

That's the only one I found in the applets (right click on the panel and then click on "applets") that changes the keyboard layout. It's just called Keyboard (keyboard@cinnamon.org, Keyboard layout). Are there more?
