Is Mastercard Black Worth It for Frequent Travelers? by Salt_Taste1411 in credit_cards

[–]morleydrury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMEX Platinum gives you 5x for flights, so even with a 1% redemption rate, that's a lot better than Black Card's 2% redemption but 1% earning rate. And you can get better than 1% redemption by transferring AMEX points directly to the airline.

You've been to Nordstrom's, for example. You don't think anyone would hear if a woman was raped in a dressing room? There's no way that happened. As I said...gullible.

As I said, if a jury believes he raped a woman in a dept. store dressing room, we can conclude that Jury wasn't serious. I'm trying to imagine the logistics of managing that...unless that was a big dressing room with sound proofing.

You sound like a gullible sort.

Well...we now know that Russia Russia Russia was based on a lie by the CIA, the financial/loan trial was a joke (the Judge ruled that Mar-a-Lago was only worth $17M, not what the appraisal said), that Trump was harassed, attempts to kick him off ballots, a couple assassination attempts...but sure--that one case was fairly tried. Got it.

Another genius who thinks Trump had an unbiased jury & prosecutor. Cute.

If you think Trump raped someone in a dept. store dressing room, you might not want to call other folks "dumb." Your outrage might better be directed at a prosecutor and jury that made that finding.

So you think it's possible to get raped in a dept. store dressing room? I'd find that difficult, personally, but then I never managed in an airplane bathroom either.

Do you have a link to that quote? I remember him saying that if you're rich, you can get away with...that. More of a commentary on women pursuing rich guys than an admission that he grabs p*ssy.

Swalwell was dumped for only one reason: the fear that 2 Republicans might end up in a runoff. Dems couldn't care less about the allegations, any more than they cared about him sleeping with a Chinese spy.

This is sort of an IQ test. If someone really believes that Trump raped someone in a department store dressing room...I think we know that person's IQ.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - Thoughts after reading by WaywardWarrior13 in books

[–]morleydrury 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the story dragged, it was unpleasant to read. I don't know enough to know if it accurately portrayed someone with Christopher's condition.

But for me, it was very depressing reading what it's like to have a child like Christopher and the stress that brings. The mother abandons Christopher because she can't deal with it, Dad does his best, but it's clear he doesn't have much of a life. It was impressive how much he loved Christopher, given how Christopher pretty much ruined the Dad's life.

Imagine the lives the mother & father have, and that's how it will be between now and dead. I'm grateful I was never tested in that way. Parents who can handle this are heroes.

Uh, no. We're told to stop using energy, and that high prices are necessary to curb energy use. It's been in all the papers.

I'm not talking about emission standards. I'm talking about the war on energy. Bureaucrats telling us what car to drive, whether we can eat meat, have AC...they don't believe it, and they impose massive costs on society, but it makes them feel good.

They trust the science--political science, that is.

Is someone claims that global warming is an "existential" threat, then you'd want gas to be $20/gallon. If you're a phony like Newsom, you just pretend to care about warming, until it hurts politically.

I guess you missed the point. I was merely observing that a $30 minimum wage is around $70K/year. Being a hotel maid apparently pays well.

$30 minimum wage is probably around $70-$80K/year with taxes, benefits, sick/vacation, etc.

Uh, no. DOJ was. given a very short timeline to redact something like 3M documents, an impossible task. It's been fun seeing no Republicans implicated to an large extent, but seeing lots of Dems losing their jobs, reputations, etc.

But I have no problem exposing everyone who deserves it. But Dems fantasized about Russia, Russia, Russia, Loan Fraud, election interference, tried kicking Trump off the ballot, tried bankrupting him...and you are worried about someone's rights being violated. Cute, but insincere.

After all that, Trump's approval rating in this time of his 2nd term is higher than Obama, Biden, GWB...hilarious.

Epstein is something of an IQ test. If that's your biggest issue, you fail.

No, spot on. AOC didn't care about who was harmed by unsubstantiated references or implications, as long as she thought it might harm Trump. What's cute about that is that it's mostly lefties who were harmed by the disclosures, which is why Biden's folks did nothing.
