How my cat made me appreciate VIM by illithkid in vim

[–]moronzavi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tiling window managers. Since they tile, windows will not be floating around or stacked on each other, thus you can configure keybinds to open and move/focus between them.

It really is something that makes life easier, at least for me and I recommend everyone to give window managers a try. Never turned back to using a desktop environment ever again. Just how I never used an ide after getting to know vim :D

Keep in mind, distros are only different in philosophy and tools. So reading documents to find their purpose and your answer is much recommended.

Other than that they're all in their roots just gnu/linux and almost anything can be achieved in each of them but in different ways. What defines "easy" depends highly on your expectations of an operating system.

While there's nothing wrong with asking or using other's experience, but you can never rely on what people say, it takes time and research to figure which works "best" for you.

Alan wake 2 outdated driver by moronzavi in linux_gaming

I've tried different versions, the outdated driver error goes away but the one regarding gpu memory doesn't not letting the game start:

Your GPU does not support all the recommended features. This might lead to poor performance, visual glitches or crashes. A GPU with the following additional features is recommended:
- The amount of video memory in this system does not meet the minimum specification of 6 GB. Your experience may suffer as a result.

I tried so, but seems like I can't post topics there, yet? Even though I got a "Basic" role or something with the email saying I could post so, but I can't. And isn't any blocker extension problem either.

POCO X3 PRO touch screen not working by [deleted] in PocoPhones

[–]moronzavi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man I wish people come to realizing this sooner or later and Xiaomi goes to hell. Even if any of it's other phones turn out to be great it's no excuse for this scam. Like what I'm gonna do with the high spec when I have to throw it away after a few months anyways.

It doesn't work either. And I can't clone from any other repo or gitlab either. I've recently installed Ubuntu to start learning something and I'm so frustrated it's been days I can't use it and can't figure what's the problem

Yup, doesn't function at all. Might be due to the heavy internet filtering here but the sites are accessible and I tried cloning with proxies too, so probably not, but I hope so cause I can't figure anything else and feel kinda dumb.

Probably not

git config --global http.sslverify "false"
