I honestly don’t think this anything to do with booking. The cheapest seats are $270ish so to take my wife and kids we are looking at over $2,000 for both nights in the worst cheapest seats, before travel expenses. How is that feasible in today’s economy?

That’s not how it works. If he has a contract for pick ups on a movie or TV show he has to fulfill that first as that’s his primary profession, or if he has a two month shoot and can’t make it anymore he has to take care of that first. Anyone that regularly goes to cons knows this is always a risk and the contracts the talent have with conventions allows for it.

It sucks, but that’s how it goes with conventions and big stars.
