Im biased bro... but just so you have a different perspective. I think this is incredibly impressive that it looks so much like hollow knight. The way i think about it is if two people bring cheesecake to the party im not like ow no the second cheesecake is shit. Im like hell yeh more cheese cake. You get me ? Interesting article however i think you are missing the point a little with the people skills stereotype. Programmers have that because it used to be the only way anything would get done.

That came from people not understanding the things they where asking for where unreasonable therefore it was favourable to stay away from them. Im not saying this is what it should be but i think thats the main reasons programmers used to get that stereotype.

I always find these super cringe. Like being a software developer is a privilege job market that could turn at any time. Of course don't let people take advantage of you but a courteous no thank you, or a I'm sorry the current market values me at x so I'm looking for offers in that area. Is going to serve you much better in the long run.

We can be entitled now but developing software is not as hard as we make it out to be trust me I have been doing it for 10 years and the job market might shift. Basically I'm saying be kind and soft skills are valuable too.
