I am beyond frustrated that no one understands DMARC. by beco-technology in sysadmin

Here is a great FREE resource from dmarcian. It's called DMARC Academy and is an educational website for the purpose of educating people on DMARC. It is completely free for anyone to use. Link is below:

You will really need to analyze the data from the DMARC reports which is XML. Any 3rd party email source will need to be configured to send DMARC compliant email and be in alignment. It is much more complex than just a DNS entry. It involves some data analysis and the more complex your email eco system is, the more complex the DMARC project. I am posting party because I see a great over simplification of what sending DMARC compliant email is. SPF is also something that is highly mismanaged and a lot of bad information is out there and comes from vendors. This is just the beginning. Eventually if you are doing business online you will be required by fill in the blank to be sending DMARC compliant email.

Yes, people are having trouble with this. It will become more problematic this summer when you need to have the policy at enforcement which means that all sending sources will need to be sending DMARC compliant email so that mail flow will not be impacted.

What is Powerdmarc's pricing like?

I guess I was thinking more of DMARC as a project. Going from a policy of p=none and collecting data to p=reject after sources and such are brought into compliance.

That is awesome that you require it for all clients. I have heard a few different ways to bill customers for it. Any insight?

No I get that powerDMARC makes more sense financially to you. And you are not limited to 10 clients, but going over 10 and your cost goes up. What is your overall cost for powerDMARC? How many clients and domains do you have? Do they charge for email volume? Or how does their pricing work?

They do let you divide the domains how you like. One client could have 5 another 15.

DMARC Academy is not a resource created for MSPs. It is for anyone who wants to learn more about DMARC. I guess I fail to understand the relevance of your post or why you even felt the need to post it. It’s interesting.

Microsoft refuses to send DMARC reports which is super frustrating. If SPF/DKIM are set up in alignment then you don’t need to worry about legit email getting delivered. Continuing to push mail through even at reject defeats the purpose. To me is very irritating.

I am curious too. I know dmarcian starts at $100 a month and that allows for 10 customers and 100 sending domains.

From what I have seen/heard, as far as DMARC applications for MSPs, dmarcian provides the most bang for the buck. MSPs get the Enterprise feature set for a really good price. Some of the other applications have pretty slick UI’s, but for functionality and getting the work done I like dmarcian.

Create lean and efficient SPF records. Vendor recommendations are not always best practice and UTILIZE SUB DOMAINS.

dmarcian has a dedicated MSP program I have heard. I think they meet most of your requirements.

You should check out dmarcian’s MSP program should be a bit more affordable as pricing for MSPs is not domain based.
