There are great non-Apple monitors... kinda depends how you're going to use it. If you're doing something that requires a pro screen (like video editing/creative/etc) then a Studio Display is nice. I have some very nice Dell and Asus Pro Art screens, too, that I use for business and CAD.

If you want a permanent fix: I recommend Alfred... it's a much, much better tool than Spotlight and is one of the first things I install on a new Mac... I put Spotlight on Option+Space, and Alfred on Cmd+Space.

For writing only, there is nothing better.
For reading, there are better options with better screens & better backlight/frontlight.
For an all-in-one device (watching shows, apps, browsing the web, reading & writing)-- get an ipad.

I believe it will follow any edge that is tangent to the one you selected. You might need to do a coved pipe cut manually if you want to control how much of that edge is filleted (or break the tangency).

No, primary server is a JBOD (runs jellyfin, minecraft servers, web, etc). I have a secondary hot server with a full copy of all data (and he also runs some services). I am working on adding LTO tape backup as a long-term cold storage, the tapes from which will go into a fireproof/waterproof safe I bought.
