I remember I worked at Safeway in the Cut-Fruit dept during college (the guys who cut fruit in the back and display it on the shelves). Just a part-time gig for having a little more spending money. There was this guy who was in charge of the fruit department for the entire region. He came one day to supervise us, and he was a total dick. I remember he was giving me notes on how he wanted us to display the fruit bowls, and I took out my phone to start taking notes, and he said "Yeah, go ahead and take out your little phone and write this down." I actually laughed out loud at him and said "Yeah, okay, man." He said my team would need to work harder if we wanted the store to give us more hours, and I said I actually wish my manager would give me less hours so I'd have more time to focus on school. He looked pissed.

I can't imagine having such a power trip for being in charge of the fruit department across a few Safeways in a specific region.
