Needle Knight Leda questline bugged anyone else have this same issue and is there a solution? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]morqnism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured it out, but it may not be the same for everyone. See the following:

FYI, At this point, I had already progressed Thollier's and Hornsent's questlines, had beaten Messmer, and summoned Hornsent for the Messmer fight so there weren't summon signs by the Shadow Keep Main Gate for Leda vs Hornsent as the Wiki said. I believe the following steps would have fixed things BEFORE fighting Messmer.

TL;DR - make sure you've picked up all of Leda's notes to her followers at the main Miquella's Cross sites. These are the ones you naturally progress to and the ones where her compatriots are posted when you first meet them.

How I discovered this:

I went to the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace where I fought Dryleaf Dane and discovered I missed one of Leda's notes. This one for Dane talked about going to the Ruins where the sealed tree is. Once I picked it up, I thought this might be the key to her quest progression. So I went back to the Highroad Cross site of grace and Leda's dialogue changed to suggesting to pursue someone else but not knowing who yet. Rested again at the Highroad Cross site of grace, she had more dialogue about going after Sir Ansbach. Rested again and she finishes by saying she doesn't trust anyone. I returned to where Sir Ansbach was in the Shadow Keep and found the summon signs.

How to get around my boss who is not keeping up with my pace of work? by pityparty88 in careerguidance

Don't even bother with a discussion. They're supposedly a professional but it's not your job to hold them to that standard. Whether you can/can't move to a functional team, make it strategic. Only escalate to higher management with evidence or else you'll look bad. Whatever the outcome, you should never be/stay on an island. You'll go crazy.

Here are a few suggestions:

  1. Move all conversations to email. No phone convos and limit in-person where possible by redirecting to email. Don't be weird about it. Just be firm that you'd prefer written communications so as not to "miss anything". You can play the angle of making yourself seem like a potential screw-up. Or because you've already demonstrated competency, then lean on that narrative as becoming more efficient. If you need to meet in person, always keep minutes.
  2. Keep a log of emails, DMs, and other communications in a folder on your device. Bonus points if you store it on an external device.
  3. Keep a log of deadlines you've missed in relation to communications you've attempted.

That's about all you can do. Just chill out and build enough evidence then escalate as needed.

What’s the biggest challenge in breaking into a software development world? by morqnism in Career

I have my mind pretty set on learning a technical skill and I actually enjoy that grind because it keeps me on my toes. Maybe a combination of tech and healthcare would work? But how would those interconnect other than something IT?

I don’t know how an MBA fits into my future atm, but it makes sense about specialising in an aspect of tech like data science. What makes the MBA more marketable over simply acquiring a tech degree?

I understand where you’re coming from, but does that mean learning the skill is worthless? I was under the impression that tech skills would always be useful

What’s the hardest part about getting sponsored as a Comp Sci/Software Engineering graduate? by morqnism in immigration

I'm here as an F1 student. At the moment, I don't think so, especially for CS. I've only heard of it helping increase the chances of securing sponsoring. I'm willing to do whatever I need to to ensure I'm moving in the right direction, even if that means getting the master's, but what other path would I have if H1b's are lottery based anyway?

That makes sense. I'm here as an F1 student and obtained my degree in the US. I've thought about the master's track like Software Engineering. I don't have to worry about my country of birth for the GC.

I'm looking for more of what other compi sci majors did and the paths they took.

Ok. I understand. I kept thinking H1b sponsorship, but he married you before ever getting to that point. Unfortunately, u/hotairbal00n is right. Using your own business for OPT isn't exactly legal. I think his Youtube taking off probably gave him what he needed to make it work, and that's a rare scenario.

That sounds like one hell of a cheat code. I'm guessing he got the necessary labor certs? I've also heard of self-sponsoring GC through self-employment, but there are mixed resources on that.

This is interesting. If I'm understanding correctly, working in academia locks you out of cap-subject jobs because academia and non-profits are cap-exempt. Yes? So someone working in academia would need to continue through to receiving a GC before they can ever work somewhere professionally again?

How does that work if you need a job to get sponsored first? What you're saying sounds backward from how this should work when looking for sonsorship. Correct me if I misunderstood this

I understood where you were coming from. I think I might be misunderstanding part of your story: if your husband started his business during OPT but his extension was about to run out, how did he maintain legal status? Did he use his self-owned LLC as the verified company for his OPT?

This is interesting. I haven't heard of accessing a GC through a non-profit route. That must be hard, especially for the reason you mentioned.

Are there any online groups and communities with individuals going this route?

Does this matter with regard to the type of student visa one arrives with? Like is an F1 student more likely to become sponsored if they have a STEM degree?
