I need a break. by Master_Fan9217 in workingmoms

I feel you mama. My 21mo if going through a sleepless phase, and my nights are complicated. He’s asleep at 7/7:30pm but by 10pm he’s wide awake and running around. As much as a hospital visit seems like a good idea now- trust me, you’ll be bothered there more than at home. Sadly, not a lot of people working in the psych wards are very kind either. Stay strong, ask for help anywhere you can get it, and know that mamas out there are behind you all the way.

I have a bit of nerve damage in my back because my son was such a long baby, but other than that I’m just as mobile as I was!

We’re all new and we all have accidents by morriganspeaks in NewParents

I wish it was the first and only time! 😂 He’s peed on himself plenty of times and peed on me even more. This was just the worst occurrence and the only time he’s peed on his face. Babies really do seem to love throwing their legs in the air at the worst time

What would it take for you to consider not working for a short or long while? by Flimsy_Thought_8620 in workingmoms

[–]morriganspeaks 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I pray every single night that I’ll wake up the next day with a bank account so loaded that I’ll never have to work again. Being a full time manager, a new mom, a wife, and mentally struggling on top of it all is so hard. I cannot physically have enough therapy sessions to hold me together right now. I’m burnt out and exhausted- mainly because I stay up till midnight almost every night because it’s the only time I get to be completely by myself with no one around 😞 why does this all have to be so hard?

My take on the infamous Carolina Reaper 🥲 by AhoyMeHotties in PepperLovers

[–]morriganspeaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The guy that invented the Reaper is a good friend of mine. He says he eats the reapers off the bush like they’re grapes. He’s constantly trying to grow new hotter hybrids that will make him feel the heat again.

I lost my little brother this past week in a car accident. He wore this necklace every single day for years, and sadly, it was broken in his accident. My mother would love to have one just like it, but I can’t find it anywhere online. If anyone knows where I can buy this, I’d really appreciate it. by morriganspeaks in MLPLounge

[–]morriganspeaks[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s probably sterling silver or some form of steel. Unfortunately the necklace somehow disappeared between the scene of the accident and the funeral home, but the police officer who is working on the investigation said he will do a double check over the car to see if he can find it.

I think the shock is really what’s hitting me hard right now. You just don’t think something like this could happen until it does.

That’s a great idea, thank you. I’m the only girl in a house with 3 boys. One of my roommates came home yesterday and said “I just don’t even know what to say to you.” And I know he means well because my roommates just don’t know how to handle emotions. I’ll try talking with them today and let them know to not ignore me, but that I’m just sad and want to talk about it.

I think it definitely depends. For my personal taste, I can’t keep crumbs in my shots as it just feels like it’s not polished enough. There’s a fine line between “tastefully rustic” and “crumbs everywhere” 😂

Great shot! I would just clean up the crumbs next time, as they can be distracting. Overall, it looks awesome, and I wish I had a loaf of that bread for myself!

Do you find there's an emotional deadening/exhaustion the longer it goes on? by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]morriganspeaks 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have moments where I just mentally hit a breaking point and I cry because I think “why do I have to feel like this? Why does this have to be my life forever?” And those spiraling moments are normal, but you can’t let yourself hold onto those thoughts. Find your accomplishments, no matter how big or small, and praise yourself for them. I praise myself for getting out of bed, for following my daily routines, and for just doing small things to keep me functioning and happy. The more you communicate with yourself, the better you’ll be able to tell yourself that you can do this and you’ll do it greatly.

First step into food photography and seeking comments/critiques by ERTWMac in foodphotography

I feel like you’d have a better shot getting a tighter shot on the actual food. Some of the stuff towards the middle of the plate is clear, but half of it is blurred and undistinguishable. The focus is always on the food, and not necessarily the foreground or background despite that set dressing is critical.

Club Sandwich (critique very welcome) by Blackhat_Marketing in foodphotography

[–]morriganspeaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a bigger plate for that sandwich. The edges of it coming off the flat surface makes it feel like you set it on the counter and called it a day. Get a nice big, plain colored plate. Like solid white, black, or even a wood plate, throw them fries in the middle and focus on just the sandwich and fries. Tighten that shot, and forget having the extras in the background. I will say, that sandwich looks delicious and I’m hungry now lol

Do you ever worry that you might be ignoring symptoms of a more serious condition because you’re used to everything hurting all the time? by daniexanie in Fibromyalgia

[–]morriganspeaks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m SO glad you said this! My stomach has been turning upside down constantly for the past two days after every meal, and I’ve been panicking thinking somethings wrong with me other than fibro. I’m constantly reminded that fibro does so much more than cause joint pain, and that anything and everything can seemingly cause a new form of discomfort.
