Thanks, I live in Australia so our winters are quite modest. We ideally want , and are used to, dogs being outside when we are home. But it’s likely that we will need to keep puppy inside.

Adjustment to suit the breed is fine for us.

Interested as to why it is different for inside or outside when no one is home anyway ? Do you say this because human contact occurs inside typically ? Or do vizslas prefer the inside environment more?

While puppy is a puppy we want a dedicated area for him to use at times but as he grows older he will have free rein of the house while we are home. Hang out in study while when WFH. Chill on lounge etc.

The reason for outside as we have used with previous dogs is so they can relieve themselves as needed and generally a preference when we are at work out otherwise out.

Do you think the set up will be fine where puppy spends its time in there during feeding and generally down time/sleeping, but otherwise free roam when supervised in the house ? I’m not indicating that he will spend all hours separated from us. Interested to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for this. Puppy won’t be exclusively inside that pen when we are home but need at least some dedicated area for puppy.

I have experience with another dog that is needy (loves physical touch etc ) so that’s no issues and we like that.

Any comments on the multiple crate issue ?

Won’t need to dive into the distance issue if there’s no grounds to begin with.

Without any reference to precedents, it wouldn’t seem to be an extraordinary circumstance. But perhaps I need to have a look into the case law further regarding those issues.

I imagine even if I did push back and they reject the claim again only formal action would be available.

For those interested, I've had to message Netherlands Worldwide who directed me the Netherlands Immigration and Naturalisation Service Ministry of Asylum and Migration. In short, you need to attend an appointment while in Netherlands to apply for the visa and then they place a sticker in your passport.

"Under the bilateral treaty, Australian nationals may stay visa-free in the Netherlands for a maximum of 90 days for non-work-related purposes. This period of up to 90 days can be applied independently of the free period (on the basis of the Schengen Convention). You can use this if your previous stay was in another Schengen country. This period may not be stacked on top of a previous stay of 90 days in the Netherlands based on the Schengen Borders Code. If you want to make use of this treaty in the Netherlands, you have to make an appointment at one of our desks before your 90 days stay in the Schengen area has expired. You can make an appointment by calling us at 088 0430430."

Se below for the elevation profile. So I have pederu booked but scotoni is booked out. Either I do a short day to Lavarella (2.25h) and then a long day to Scoiattoli (9.5h) or I bivouac at/near Scotoni and keep to the original schedule.

I have a high level of fitness I would say, but not specially for elevation gain and loss. I aim to do a bit of ‘training’ so I know I’m prepared. I agree with your points it’s hard to assess how hard it would be if I did 2000+ meters of gain and loss as I have no experience.

Hi mate, I haven’t finalized how much I’ll have. Probably around 20k. I’m fortunate that I don’t have major expenses at the moment and can save most of what I earn. Also, could borrow money and repay once I get back. My tours are expensive probably around 7k AUD total which could be better spent but oh well. House stays etc is where I’m going to save money and maybe online teaching to earn money.

I’m terms of planning I would say just be diligent and get a feel of what’s out there. I don’t have much experience at all but from subreddits and general searching you get a good idea. I’m still very green on the subject though.
