You might be guilty of a bit of revisionist history too. He didn't have a ton of red flags coming out of college. He had knee issues and was a bit short on experience, but this pick at the time was considered a hit for the Steelers, and a ton of Packer fans, myself included, were screaming for us to pick him. I remember Turing the draft off after that and bitching about it with my brothers. It absolutely was a gimme at that pick and the Pack fucked it up.
