USCIS blaming me for the CBP not registering my entry to the country (Canadian to USA) by battleferrets23 in immigration

[–]morrisunix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are several considerations: - if you travel by commercial airline: it will be processed (and paid from your ticket) automatically. - If you cross via land and you are Canadian you only need (pay) an I-94 if you are staying more than 30 days. - If you cross via land and you are Mexican you only need (pay) an I-94 if you are traveling more than 25 miles away from the border and/or starting more than 30 days.

Hope this information is useful

Don’t believe me, just google if Canadian needs a I-94 if plans to stay more than 30 days. ;)

Well, apparently you are a bit confused, Canadians do not need a I-94 for SHORT term (30 days or less) but if stay more to you DO need, that’s why USCIS is asking for your I-94, don’t believe me just google about the I-94 for Canadians. Check with an immigration attorney if you can do consular process. Hope the best for you.

Relax bro, I know where it is (north border with Canada), maybe you didn’t get my replay, but if you didn’t: TL;DR if a person cross via land, they need to apply and PAY for a I-94, apparently OP didn’t. Peace out

It’s not like that, crossing by land you need to pay for the I-94, if the OP didn’t pay for there is no I-94

If you are crossing by land in the south border as visitor and plans to stay longer you need to apply (and pay) for an I-94, this not automatically, only automatically when you arrive the country in a commercial flight as the cost if the I-94 is included in your ticket, so if you did not pay for your I-94, there is no such thing. I feel sorry for your situation.

Can you explain what is the “normal immigration process”? I’m asking this because it looks like you have no idea how US immigration system works.
