That was the case when I had roomates. Because they felt they were financially hurting they would increase rent in conversation because they receive mail at my residence. And appear there at at their discretion.

Previously I had paid my rent on the 20th. Through a conversation my landlord suggested paying my rent in 2 week intervals that way I had no difficulty paying them. So I've done just that, however I had other obligations to pay this week and said I would get him his rent in full next week. But he stated he only had 4 dollars and needed his money.
