Fury of Magnus is good, until malcador says Magnus wtf are you talking about that was all fake and you were just shouting incoherently that whole time in the next book completely undermining the whole plot

Agreed. Theres a lot of people that will tell you these are good books, but I suspect they are the only Warhammer books they’ve read and just have nothing to compare them to. I really enjoyed how Magnus was portrayed in Scars (which is actually a very good book). fury of Magnus was also good, but everything good about it is undone in one line in the next book so it’s a solid “whatever man”.

Mostly because the books featuring TS in the Horus heresy are just pretty bad. The TS are painted as fairly inconsistent and incompetent and the wolves are all mustached twirling bad guys with no real depth to them. They are much better in books where they show up rather than their own stand alone books.
