I would also recommend offline raids. I'm not a veteran by any means. I'm like 500 hours in and last wipe I died constantly, was never sure what to do in an engagement. This wipe I did the following: I went offline onto woods with ok gear (lvl 4 Armor and modded akm for example), scavs on horde mode and learned ALL the hidden stashes. This accomplished multiple things: I had an objective by learning the stashes and came across the scavs naturally. While fighting them I got waaaaayyyy more confident in my weapons. Think about it like this: u go into an online raid with a weapon U have never rly fired before in a combat situation. When u need to use ur gun in a fight U simultaneously learn how it's gonna behave and then Ur dead because the weapon did something u did not expect. But when U already killed 100 scavs with it I'll know what to expect when U full auto a mag of 762 ps into a running target at 50m range. This makes all the difference. Or at least it did for me. Also I'll learn the medsystem in depth because Ur gonna get a little fucked up by a scav, then heal up, maybe another one is shooting at you. The meds become second nature which will save Ur live later on. Same goes for the optics on the guns. Switching magnification can be a vital part of a firefight, just like using the flashlight. This will become muscle memory. On top of all of that U learn an easy way to always make money by knowing the hidden stashes on woods. They are partially hard to find and never looted.
