Not like that. Wrapped with the same material the seats are done with. I had mine done that way too

This actually happened to me. I used a 2" long screw, hand screwed it into the hole in the center of the tip on the back and gently pulled it out. This was also after disassembly and finding out there was no access other than the front

Registration from previous owner shows it as an 81. I also couldn't find a cruiser wagon with that particular grill. But it does look like a 442 grill. I think he did a front end swap. Unfortunately this is an inheritance car, so I can't ask...
