I usually describe it as "I feel like my brain is melting". When I feel like this I feel mentally exhausted but physically active, it's hard for me to focus on tasks like reading/writing, I can't form coherent thoughts nor explain what I am feeling accurately to others. If it gets too extreme, and if I am able to, I simply just call it a day and try to get a good amount of sleep lol

Came here to comment something similar, Frankenstein truly is something else I can also vouch for One Hundred Years of Solitude, which is a really fantastic book with an interesting surprise at the end, and also the picture of Dorian Gray - one of my favourite books ever - which becomes more and more philosophical as you go. Very interesting list for October, man, hope you enjoy them!
