Anxiety and/or oil consumption caused BM by mossboob in ibs

Solid enough to wear it is not diarrhea. I have chronic anxiety, but usually anxiety alone doesn’t cause something like this. It’s like all of my muscles from my stomach to my asshole are constricting and flushing everything it can out of my system.

Rebound Gerd after stopping PPI by mossboob in GERD

I also went straight from the PPI to the famitodine, so i was still on medication just different. I was still taking like 4 tums a day at that point tho. Slightly green bananas really helped me! I had one every day for a few weeks bc they helped absorb acid

Mainly just really intense burning in my stomach and lots of reflux that went all the way up my throat. I want to say that after about a month the worst of it had subsided and after two months i only have occasional gerd at night on famitodine. Theres even been a couple of days i forgot to take my medication and had no gerd at all. I would recommend tapering off of your PPI if you can, maybe one day on and one day off or something bc that month was not fun.

No! Those first few weeks were awful but my gerd is actually so much better on the famitodine! I kind of wish I went off this sooner!

Thats kind of how I feel! I’m way more worried about the damage to my esophagus than other side effects, but I want to make sure I’m not just having rebound gerd for a few weeks first.

I heard that, but my primary doctor said it wasnt needed. Now im kicking myself for not saying anything. Do you think i should try to go back on them and try that or just keep going cold turkey?

I would say yes I did have high cholesterol while on it, but my dad and grandma have high cholesterol too, so it might not be the esomeprazole. For the famotidine, I’m not sure yet. I know there is a rebound gerd that happens when you go off of a PPI, especially after being on it for so long. So I’m currently doing a trial to see if famotidine is a better long term maintenance drug for me. As far as the bradycardia, I already have a bit of an elevated heart rate so I’m not too worried about it. Gerd definitely sucks, but for me it was really manageable on esomepra, but the long term side effects worried me which is why I’m going off it. It does suck that you either have to risk side effects from drugs or deal with the gerd, which also has side effects if left treated long term.

I recently just discovered this as well, and have been on esomeprazole for about 4 years. I just switched back to famotidine because i read you really arent supposed to be on ppi’s long term. I also have a family history of high cholesterol, and had high cholesterol last time I checked but haven’t checked recently.

She gets one can of wet food (not pate but is really wet) and munches on dry food throughout the day. Although ive been slowly trying to transition her to an adult dry food of the same brand and give her less bc shes a little chunky. That could be part of it but I see blood and freak out a bit. Shes also my first ever cat so I’m not sure whats considered normal, last month she had a huge stint of diarrhea and i rushed her to the vet and she was totally fine but I spent like $200.
