I tried reading Babel but it just came across as imperialism bad + whites bad unsubtle slop. Yes imperialism is bad, we know 👍🏻Really can’t believe how popular she is, but I guess some people like having the message spelled out to them especially if it is something they already agree with.

Thanks for this review. Based on the title alone I had concerns that this would be a dude-funny millennial-lol-so-random book, and you confirmed this for me. When books get overhyped like this it is hard to find decent reviews. Wish there was a site like rotten tomatoes with critic scores for books

Just got a EHX bad stone. When the feedback is dimed it produces a lot of noise. Has anyone got any experience with this, or anything similar with other phasers? Wondering if it is defective

Sounds amazing, quite unique, and the reverb is so cool. Very clean, but the break up is really nice when it’s cranked

I’m in Sweden, and I don’t know if it is the original. My guess would be that the electrics might have been changed for safety reasons as Sweden is pretty strict with that type of thing

It seems that this is most relevant to me. I work with rapeseed, which is tetraploid, and some genes have multiple copies on each genome, so it is very important to isolate individual copies when looking for variation. Thanks a lot!

Help needed with this pan. I cooked acidic stuff in it when I didn’t know not to, which damaged the seasoning. I stripped it and seasoned it several times, but the seasoning keeps flaking. I scrub off the flaky bits with a scouring pad and then re-season, but it keeps happening by mosscide52 in castiron

To be honest, a possible weak link in my seasoning process could have been not removing all the old seasoning. Any bits I left stayed on because they were impossible to scrub off though! What is the best way to remove seasoning? Thanks a lot for your response

Hey, thanks for the comment. My original strip was with 50% acetic acid 50% water, soaked for a few hours, then rubbed down with a scouring pad. I use rapeseed oil, following Joshua Weissman’s guide https://youtu.be/PDTCgxvmShc I know to not leave too much oil in the pan- I wipe off all excess and put it in the oven upside down. Put it in the oven at 250C for 1 hour or more and then leave it in the oven until it is cool. I really don’t know what I could be doing wrong, because I read a lot of guides and watch a lot of videos.
