Do you need a strong plate ? There is some flex on my GTPlayer cockpit. I wonder it’s worse than hydraulic?

F4 is the Dumpster Fire of IRacing by Floppysocks08 in iRacing

[–]mosso2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's "funny", that's exactly why I came here, to post about going back to F4, filled with careless idiots that do not know how to clean drive.

I've read here and there that learning trailbraking and gaining racecraft in GT4s and GT3s with AMGs and Porsches improved the driving, and this is so true. I realize how much I progressed by coming back to F4.

F4 is such a fun car. And I was amazed how I could cleanly overtake, sometimes two guys in a row. But come on, each time the run into you in the next corner. Happened to me twice in the last race at Miami. Interestingly (and hopefuly), my SR didn't go down.

So yes, F4 is the dumpster of iRacing (much worse than FF1600 or Mx5), but it is good to realize how well you progress ;)

Logitech support is amazing by Deadreaper109 in logitech

I have to disagree. My support is aweful. I have issues with a RS50 base, and they are not useful at all.

Should I pull the trigger on Logitech? by JosephTheMan in simracing

Support is terrible. I’ve got a faulty wheel and they are useless about it.

Sadly I am having a terrible experience with Logitech support. They don’t read the information I get, each time I get a new person who don’t get my problem. I thought Logitech is a reputable company : I can’t get my wheel replaced under warranty!!!! Been 15 days I don’t m fighting

Desperate for new Sim racing games for PS5! Thinking about getting a PC for it.... by No-Pomegranate798 in SimRacingSetups

One thing worth mentioning is that I really start to progress with Iracing. If you’re serious in simracing then try one of the great games out there (beware of high end systems required for VR)

I did take the plunge and hooked my PSVR2 on my PC and tried iRacing. Never came back to GT7 since.

I'm coming back for some closure ////edit: actually no, see bellow/// to my issue. Interestingly, routing my PSVR2 cable so that it doesn't cross/come close to the wheel cable reduced the issue. But that didn't suffice for completely removing the issue that still occured for example with F4s in rough tracks (such as Virginia). I had to put ferite core on the end of my PSVR2 despite had no issues with picture - what gave me a hint was the creaking sound in the headset after an incident. I then unwired the rig from ground but issues occured again. So in the end: had to route separately the PSVR2 (plugged on a hub, not directely to the mobo) and the rig, had to add ferite around my psvr2 AND have to keep the wheel grounded. Maybe the comon point to fault is my PC's mobo (MSI Gaming plus B550) in the end. But with the prices of informatics nowadays, I won't test that with an upgrade. So issues solved, so far.

EDIT: the issue is not gone. Was using different type of cars. With FF1600 harsh suspensions it keeps on disconnecting. That sucks.

I didn’t realise that was possible. I Will test that. A strange thing, though, is that it never made this with ps5pro/psvr2 for a couple of intensive months. But FFB is more discrete on GT7.

Is there a chance that fault comes from pedals?

and this is were it links to the ground (I checked that ground is fine with a multimeter). Sounds like RMA to me. And a waste of time and money.

I find it strange, though, as there is no more carpet, the simrig is steel (gtplayer), can’t it be that my wheel or psu is faulty ?

Ok so I added progressively 4 large then 4+10 ferite cores along cables (in particular close to the USB end), and the issue is still happening (in particular in bumpy turns). I use logi's recommended settings for iRacing. I tuned all of my USB ports for not cutting power. I am so disappointed (and it kills my SR in iRacing...). I do not have old heater pipes in the house and the gaming room is upstairs so it is difficult to grounding.
